What is an Oregon Weight-Mile Trip Permit?
A trip permit lets a vehicle over 26,000 lbs declared weight legally operate in Oregon for a single trip when it doesn't have a permanent Oregon weight-mile tax account. The tax owed is based on your declared weight bracket and the miles driven in Oregon.
Is this an official government website?
No. Oregon Trip Permit Co. is an independent filing assistance service, not affiliated with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). You can always file directly through Oregon Trucking Online.
How is the tax amount calculated?
Oregon publishes a rate-per-mile table by weight bracket (Table A for 26,001-80,000 lbs) and, above 80,000 lbs, by weight bracket and axle count together (Table B). We multiply your bracket's rate by your estimated trip miles.
What if my actual mileage differs from my estimate?
Enter your best estimate based on your planned route before you submit. If your actual route differs significantly, contact us and we'll help you correct the filing.
Why would I pay you instead of filing directly?
Some carriers prefer a guided process, an accurate mileage-tax calculation, and a review of their answers before submission. If you're comfortable filing directly with Oregon Trucking Online, that option is always available.

The questionnaire takes about 5 minutes. Once submitted and paid, our team typically reviews and files within 1 business day.
Can I get a refund?
If we haven't yet submitted your permit to Oregon DOT, contact us at support@example.com and we'll issue a full refund.
